Every year on my birthday my mom gives me a block of toblerone. It’s a throwback to a simpler time when a block/bar of chocolate for my birthday felt special.
It’s such a sweet gesture that I don’t have the heart to tell her that I’m trying to cut back on milk chocolate; besides what kind of person denies themselves chocolate on their birthday?
I got this awesome idea for thumbprint cookies, use toblerone wedges in the center instead of jam.
And so the toblerone thumbprint cookies were born…
Delicious and lovely, I suspect we’ll be making a few batch of these come Christmas.
The recipe for the thumbprint cookies can be found here, just substitute jam for toblerone wedges.
