Welcome to another edition of ‘Mon Petit Appartement à Paris’ – the 2011 edition.
For our Paris vacation this year, we stayed in Le Marais again, in a lovely and much quieter area close to Le Marche des Enfants Rouges.
The apartment is in a delightful old building with an enclosed green courtyard, it’s on the fourth floor, with red spiral stairs and a tiny lift.
It’s a small and comfortable place; the living/kitchen/dinning area is split from the bedroom on another level.
I really love the layout and décor of this little apartment. While the last place was playful and colourful, this place feels grown up; minimalist and decorated with African art and figurines.
And best of all, it has everything one needs for that ‘home away from home’ feeling.
The view from the living room windows.
The neighbourhood is filled with cafés and trendy boutiques all in splendid architecture.
The living and kitchen area on the main floor.
What a great idea to use old round hatboxes as bedside tables, I might copy this myself.
Up the attic, landing, bathroom and closet space
Old Louis Vuitton trunk as a coffee table, another neat storage idea.
