I love mini-getaways!
Getting away even for a few hours is refreshing – sort of like a mental detox.
Short getaways are the best because there’s little time and little hassle to get there.

In the few days leading up to Christmas, @adjoa and I took a little trip down to Bellevue, WA
I love Bellevue! If I could live anywhere in the States, I’d probably choose Belle…
Well… maybe not – I’d choose some place warm, by the beach and with less rainfall.
So let’s just go with I really love visiting Bellevue.

Everything there is so new and shiny and sparkling and Microsoft-y.
And at Christmas, they put pretty bows on buildings!

It’s amazing how much Bellevue has grown, a few of years ago the downtown area resembled a large construction site with hotels and shopping.

Today it has a little bit of everything to make a mini-vacation; amazing shopping, beautiful parks, quaint neighbourhoods, galleries and a nice museum.

If you’re ever downtown in Bellevue and get tired of all that shopping or run out of fun things to do; check out the Bellevue Botanical Gardens and the Bellevue Arts Musuem.
