I knew I was finally a grown up when I voluntarily went to an antique fair.
As a kid, there were so many things I was going to do when I grew up – like eating ice cream for breakfast and staying up until the sun came up.
Going to antique fairs weren’t one of those things I wanted to do when I grew up.
I consider antiquing something very, very old ladies; and people with too much time in their hands do.
Like I said, I went voluntarily, I walked around, saw some pretty interesting things…
It was a bit overwhelming; you’ve got to have a lot of patience – the kind of patience that comes with age.
I found these two lovely brooches
Speaking of things you appreciate when you’re an adult; here’s another skirt my mom made for me.
I don’t think I’d have willingly worn or liked something my mom sewed when I was younger.
Yet here I am…
Older… having had ice cream for breakfast, and stayed up till sunrise…
I guess that’s what being a grown up is about… we evolve.
