Someone asked me recently if I liked kids.
Frankly, I was offended – who doesn’t like kids?
That’s like asking if I clobber baby seals in my spare time.
I adore kids; they’re magical little people of awe and wonder.
Just because I don’t want a kid of my own doesn’t mean I hate children, I don’t know where people get that idea from.
Of course, I love children, and they love me too!
I’m yet to meet a kid who doesn’t think I’m awesome.
See? Told ya!
This weekend was playtime with Kelvin and his brother Bryce; you might remember Kelvin from here (when he was born) and here.
Well, he’s a big boy now, he talks and everything.
Luckily he still thinks I’m the coolest auntie ever, basically because I let them do whatever they want.
(Seriously though, do parents ever get tired of saying “Stop it).
I had a blast with the little guys; we ran around tiring ourselves out, ate junk food, played games and watched tv.
It was fun and very tiring, I can’t imagine doing this every day – parents are saints.
A work colleague brought her beautiful newborn to work yesterday.
I can’t wait till that beauty is a little older – we’ll wear pretty matching tulle dresses and practice putting on make-up (but that’s just my dream).
