I made a resolution this morning to smile more at strangers.

A smile from a complete stranger is sometimes almost as powerful as a kind word or a hug.

It cheers, warms and lifts one’s spirits.

My mom used to remind me to smile all the time when I was a kid

I guess I was either a serious little person, or there wasn’t much in my life to smile about.

I want to smile more, – when I’m gone, I want to be remembered as having “a sunny disposition”

I wonder if yellow makes me look happy.

Winter is officially here and a little splash of colour on this gloomy winter day is just the lift I needed.

I’m still undecided if yellow is my colour.

I’ve been listening to their music a lot lately – I’m intrigued by them the more I listen to them.

I hope to see them next month with K’naan as part of the Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad.
