I almost moved to Port Moody two years ago, it’s one of my favourite places in the Lower Mainland.
It’s scenic, beautiful and enchanting; I imagined I’d live my charming fairytale life out there – but alas it wasn’t meant to be.
Turns out I’m still a city girl at heart.
But I do love Port Moody, and every once in a while when it’s dry and sunny I’d go visit and pretend I belong there.
That’s exactly what I did two Saturdays ago.
It’s was a freezing cold, dry sunny day with temperatures in the minuses.

We started out at the Rocky Point Park, got some good shoots of the North Shore mountains.
There were quite a few people who’d also braved the weather out on the pier.
I got these boots from an Espirit outlet in Leesburg, VA about three years ago.
They’ve become my casual go-to winter boots, they’re so comfy and practical.
I just love the design of the chairs on the trails, I like the combination of flats and rounds.
It was a long nice leisurely walk, with breaks in between to take pictures.
I took over 200 pictures! – it’s such a stunning environment.
I liked the walk pace, which is a departure from the norm where we try to go the farthest as fast as we can.
I almost didn’t want to come back, but we had to go get ornaments for trimming the tree the next morning, so it sort of made up for it.
I can’t wait to go back!
