I wish I had the kind of jewellery that belonged in a bank safe.

Unfortunately I don’t, but I do have jewellery that needs to be organized in an accessible and functional manner.

I pondered the issue for a few months and researched various types of organizers.

I had to consider space too, I wanted something that’ll take as little space a possible and contain everything.

I have a nice eclectic collection of jewellery, some of which I’ve never worn because it’s usually tucked away in unreachable places in my dresser.

No one said my jewellery box had to be conventional; I contemplated building my own – which I still might as soon I take a woodworking class, but the saner alternative presently involved a trip to Ikea.

I found Helmer, a storage cabinet with six pull out drawers, I also got a couple of inserts.

It’s easy, neat and effective; I don’t know why I hadn’t thought about it before.

I no longer spend time sifting through necklaces, trying to untangle them from earrings and bracelets.
