It rained all day today, and part of yesterday too. I’m not complaining this time because I’m certain the sun will return soon enough. It’s still summer after all!
I feel we complain about the rain and cold all year round and for the few months when the sun comes out, we can’t complain when it gets too hot.
Last week when it was sunny and beautiful; we walked down to Kits Beach, it felt like everyone came out. I couldn’t remember then what it was like when it rained. It was such a beautiful and glorious moment it made all those months of rain almost worth it.
It’s fun discovering the city on sunny days, I found and fell in love with this beaux style arts building on Vine Street. Built around the 1911, it used to be a Presbyterian Sabbath School and was converted to condos in the 1980s. It makes so much sense for Vancouver, that we’d turn a religious school building into condos.
Sunny days make it easier to stop and smell the roses, or in my case the lavender.
I won’t be cynical about the rain this time.
I’ll wait patiently for the sun to return and then try to enjoy every minute of it.
