High / Low

Every year I buy a journal, the intent is to write down heartfelt memories that’ll one day serve as proof that I once felt.

Every year I end up writing trite uninspiring nonsense that has no place in a journal. I soon came to decide that the effort I put in journaling could probably be used in some other useful endeavour – although I still haven’t decided what yet.

That was until my friend John told me about High/Lows (not the former Japanese punk rock band).

It’s simple really; I don’t know why I hadn’t thought about this before. Every day, instead of yammering on about “my feelings” and what not, I just make a list with the high and low points of my day.
