Remembrance
I spent Remembrance Day at home, watching various Remembrance Day ceremonies on TV.
I’ve been meaning to attend one of these ceremonies; maybe next year.
Last year I wrote a post on Remembrance Day and got a comment on Facebook accusing me of ‘liking wars’
Which is almost as ridiculous as accusing me of hating cute adorable puppies.
This Remembrance Day – let’s remember the sacrifices brave men and women make during times of war.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
